Friends. Rivals. Sisters.

Flirty, flaky, party girl Maggie (Diaz) and plain, dependable lawyer Rose (Collette) are sisters, best friends and bitter rivals who seem to have only two things in common: DNA and size 8 feet. Only when their love-hate relationship veers towards the hate end of the spectrum do they accidentally discover they also share a long-lost grandmother (MacLaine) who enriches their lives and helps them make peace with each other - and themselves!

Adapted for the screen by Oscar-winning writer Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich) from Jennifer Weiner's bestselling novel.

 A suprisingly emotional film!

As a guy, I watched this with suprise, as I thought it was going to be a slushy romantic film, but it is an emotional drama about two sisters dealing with growing pains and each other. Toni Collete is the star for me here, but Cameron Diaz suprised me with a much different side of her acting abilities! It's a suprisingly great movie!!

 Superb!

I had seen the trailer and decided to buy the dvd, but before, I read the reviews as usual and there is down there that guy who says that the film is so terrible that it almost ruined his birthday. Wow. I hesitaded, went to watch the trailer again, bought the dvd, wait for it, watched it. Let me go straight to the point; that film is beautiful. So if you're like me, not afraid to get involved emotionally while watching a film, you're gonna love it. Otherwise... yes, it could ruin your birthday!

 Pile of pants!

This film is terrible! I like pretty much all the actors in it, it's just the way it's written, the way they act, everything about this film is upsetting. I saw this film at the cinema the day before my birthday and it almost ruined my birthday, if you do buy this film, don't be surprised if you don't like it.

I have to admit it, I am a guy who likes chick flicks and this is one of the best.

Tonu Collette is the straight laced sister, Diaz the opposite and Shirley Williams the long lost grandmother and all give good performances.

The film deals with all the emotions of sisterly love and hate and the loss of a mother with mental health problems. Left me with a bit of grit in my eye (no, it is grit, honestly dear!).

Watch it, you wont be disappointed.
