Death is coming and Alex Browning (Devon Sawa) is blessed with the curse of knowing when, how and where the Grim Reaper will strike.

Alex's bone-chilling gift reveals itself just as the teenager embarks on a trip to Paris with his high school French class. In the plane's cabin, buckled-in and ready for take off, Alex experiences a powerful premonition. He sees the plane explode in a fiery blaze moments after leaving the ground. Sensing imminent doom, Alex panics and insists that everyone get off the plane. In the melee that ensues, seven people including Alex are forced to disembark.

As each fumes about their lost opportunity to visit Paris, Alex's horrific premonition proves tragically accurate. The ill-fated plane explodes in midair. Shocked and confused, the survivors struggle to understand how Alex was able to anticipate the catastrophe. Some are drawn to his eerie clairvoyance, but most of the group is scared of his gift. As sceptical FBI Agents question his every word, Alex tries to reconcile his tragedy and return to a normal life, but portents of doom surround him.

final destination is one of those films that comes a long once in a blue moon and hits you in the face.and this is it. the film is fantastic scary and gory all at the same time as well as being tense.the reason this is the best of the 4 films is because you didnt know what to expect when you first see this film and when the other sequels come along you sort of knew what was going to happen.the young cast give top performances and james wong direction is spot on.the screenplay is terrific.overall top notch

 SUPERB CREEPY THRILLER

This really is a top drawer teen horror/thriller film.Coming out around the same time as Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer and a host of other teen slasher flicks this very clever horror film moved away from the killer stalking teens to death himself coming to collect souls.
After seeing the plane he is onboard explode in mid air Alex (Sawa) freaks out and is removed from the plane along with 6 others moments later his nightmare becomes reality as the plane explodes in mid air. This begins death's design after cheating death by walking off the plane death quickly comes back around for the remaining 7 friends forcing Alex to work out deaths plan and attempt to cheat death for a second time.
A superb cast well directed and moving at break neck speed this is a superb film that is the best of the 3 films in the series. The clever thing in this film for me was moving away from the human killer stalking teens to something far creepier in death himself,The death scenes become more and more elaborate and gory as death racks up his body count and the tension that these scenes build is excellent.
A brilliant film well worth having in your collection 10/10.

 GREAT HORROR FILM

Inventive, effectively eerie spine-chiller is a step up in the teen horror genre. Teenager Alex has a horrific vision of his plane crashing just moments before its departure on a class field trip. He and several others exit the plane only to discover that it does in fact crash, but things take a shocking turn when the remaining survivors soon begin to die in the most mysterious ways. The story is intriguing, the suspense flows well throughout, and there are enough violent deaths to satisfy the target audience. An above average horror flick.

i love these films and i throught the 3rd 1 was the best and goryest with the 1st coming in a close 2nd and the second coming in 3rd but i have a question witch is "was saw inspied by these films?" as it is soooo simila in the way that they are both about the different ways people can die eatch more brutal than the first.

 Fantastic !
