Saw it at the cinema and loved it...as should any fans of the 60s. Obviously the music makes it, but i thought it was a very enjoyable film from start to finish. I don't know what people are looking for when they go to see a film about a pirate radio station in the 60s...but this does what it says on the tin. Good stuff.

Sunk without a trace...and not before time!

This has to be the worst Richard Cutris film EVER!

Over 2 hours of complete rubbish...it's just not funny!

This is not the quality I expect from a Richard Curtis movie....(does he really need to stoop so low as to name one of the charaters Mr. Tw*tt...just to get a cheap laugh...well yes he does because it's about the only laugh you are going to get watching this awful film!)

The only saving grace is the soundtrack...which is excellent.

So...avoid at all costs...and do something useful with the 2 hours you will save. In fact settle down and watch 'Almost Famous' which really is a great music based movie.

The boat that sank with all hands!!!

Terrible film that is neither a comedy or a drama.

Unfunny and way too long to sit through.

And it tanked in the U.S!

Brings a smile to your face

Great soundtrack, a little disappointing on the story etc. Some very very funny moments. Bill Nighy is great.

A bargin at under 4 pounds

 Total Rubbish

After all the hype I felt I had to see this film - what a load of rubbish
I couldn't even stand it to the end.

The best part about it was the music!

How can they take a bunch of good actors like Philip Seymour Hoffman & Bill Nighy etc and make such a pathetic movie?

 Music Ahoy!!

A fun (but maybe a skoosh too long) and lovingly intended film about the famous in the 1960s pirate radio stations that would operate off the coast of Britain and the attempt of the UK Government to shut them down - because of their good old bad influence on the young!!!

It's a little bit scattershot and meadering but a solid main cast (led by Bill Nighy and Phillips Seymour Hoffman) and lots of little cameos along the keep this boat aflost more than long enough to entertain.

With a solid soundtrack to boot! A steal at the price!

 A hilarious feel good movie!

One of the best funny films I've seen in a long while! It had me laughing out loud, and the soundtracks to this film are also fantastic.
