The Young Victoria

I have seen this movie in the cinema and i was very curious as i didn`t really know the story of queen victoria.
Great cast,amazing costumes and beautiful story,which made me see who truly queen victoria was,that she was a fighter, wanted to be independent,had a happy marriage,took her role very seriously and lived her life to the full.

I purchased this for my partner knowing she loved Period Romantic dramas and it was with some trepidation that I agreed to watch this with her and I am so glad I did.

Knowing a little of Victoria's later life but nothing of her formative years I watched this without a single word passing between us. I was glued to the screen from start to finish, amazing acting costumes and story, absolutely fantastic although don't tell her that or we'll end up with noting other than dramas on ;)

I cannot describe how beautiful and romantic this film is. Any film or show about Victoria and Albert's love is bound to be mesmerizing and this fits the bill. It is one of the most wonderful films i have ever seen. It allows us to see how their relationship developed in the very beginning. Blunt and Friend are perfect for the title roles. A fantastic film, one for those of us who are true romantics at heart.

This is a really fantastic film, very well acted. i bought this film and was not disappointed at all, if you like the period drama type film then i would definately buy this.

You go Emily Blunt! It was a long time coming but this is the first proper leading lady role that Emily Blunt got and it has certainly propelled her and shows everyone that she is certainly is leading lady material! Then again, being a fan of Emily anyway i always knew that!
The costumes are amazing and so are all the locations which really set the scenes very well. Not only is Emily's performance as Queen Victoria in her younger years very convincing and compelling, but all the supporting actors and actresses all play their parts extremely well too! Most noticibly is of course the lovely Rupert Friend (Keira Knightlye's bf btw..) who is very sweet and believable as Victoria's lover and confident, aswell as Miranda Richardson as Victoria's troubled and misguided mother, and Mark 'Lord Blackwood' Strong, who once again is brilliant as a darker and more controlling Sir John Conway. Also dear Paul 'Jarvis' Bettany plays a blinkered Lord Melbourne who see's the light at the end, and Jim Broadbent plays Victoria's doating and protective uncle, King William.
All of the actors play their parts incredibly well and makes for an interesting and heart-warming story of trails and tribulations aswell as love and passion!
I myself adore period drama films and this one is a must for anyone else who does. Or just people who love a well-bodied film!
