After struggling with an eating disorder myself for many years and having a best friend who is on the verge of being hospitalised I decided to look for something to watch. I found Sharing the Secret. This film gave an in detail look into the changes that take place in a person in order to hide their illness and the fact that when you are caught up in it the ED often talks for you.
When I spent time trying to stop my best friend from throwing up she would turn into this angry, scary person....much like Beth does in this film and I realised it wasn't her getting angry at me it was the ED pushing it's way to the surface to make it's voice her most.
If you know anybody in the situation it is a good film to watch, on times I found it a little triggering but that depended how I myself was feeling. Fantastically acted and portrayed.
