Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann star in this seriously funny film from writer-director Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up). When famous comedian George Simmons (Sandler) is given a second chance at a new beginning, he and his assistant, a struggling comedian, Ira (Rogen), return to the places and people that matter most... including the stand-up spots that gave him his start and the girl that got away (Mann). Co-starring Jonah Hill, Eric Bana and Jason Schwartzman, it's the film that critics have hailed as uproariously funny.

I have no idea how this film turned out so bad! I love pretty much every actor in it and I (usually) love the director, but this has to be my biggest let-down of the year so far.The storyline is pretty pointless to begin with, but after the discovery that George Simmons is no longer ill it completely lacks any direction whatsoever. There are very few funny moments, even the stand up is very poor. Leslie Mann has once again been cast with her kids, which in "Knocked Up" worked really well, but I now fear she is constantly being used purely because she is Apatow's wife and isn't getting offered much else, not because she is actually funny. The entire movie I just sat there waiting for either something to develop or something funny to appear on screen, neither of which really happened. There really are very few redeeming features, the script feels unfinished, it was far too long, Leslie Mann's kids aren't even funny this time around... Honestly, I would totally avoid… more »

Judd Apatow goes deep on this one. I miss a little more comedy but its still a good movie. A must buy for Apatow fans.
