For those who expect the belly laughs of Director Judd Apatows recent movie's such as 40Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad, may be very disappointed, as this is not so much a comedy but more of a funny drama, and to this the film really does impress. What really grabs you with the film is Adam Sandlers brilliant acting, and also the ever brilliant Seth Rogan.
As Adam Sandler's character finds out he has a terminal illness, he has to re-evaluate his selfish movie star life, with the help of Seth Rogan. This film has a real heart felt message, and will be more appreciated by people who have lost loved one, or having loved ones with a terminal illness, as it's more about making peace with yourself before it's all too late. Don't be put off by this sombre review as what laughs there are a very well observed and very funny. If you want a refreshing change from gross out comedies, and something that has more to think about, then I really do recommend this comedy drama. As a bonus it has two versions of the movie, and loads of very funny extra features.

Adam Sandler , Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill. When i heard all of them would be in theis movie i wanted to see it which i did last night and there was one word to describe it RUBBISH. Not very funny concidering the talent in the movie , 2 and a half hours of my life i will nwver get back deffinatly not sandlers best

This film is just incredible, i have always liked Adam sandler but i never knew he could act like this, and seth rogen, wow, all of the suport cast are great, any one who doesnt like this movie i garuntee, just likes big explosions, this film is funny, well written and just all around loveable only 5 stars because 10 was not an option, not just best film of the year, one of the best of all time

OK, I admit I've never been an Adam Sandler fan, and this film did nothing to change that fact! The only thing I found funny about this film was the opening couple of minutes, where it appeared that genuine crank phone calls were being made. The rest of it was a complete bore! Dull and dreary, goes nowhere and takes a long two and a half hours to get there!
A great film for insomniacs! Utter dross!

I can't believe I actually sat through the whole film. This is too long, dull and un-funny. Where's the option for NO stars? On the other hand if you like over-long films, with consistent use of the f-word throughout (for no particular reason) and really crass jokes about genitalia this film will be right up your alley!
