Blisteringly funny, offbeat drama following the rollercoaster lives and loves of an anarchic family from Manchester. Meet the Gallaghers. Mum went AWOL years ago, Dad stayed at home with the six children only to hit the bottle. And sometimes the kids... The real head of the family is big sister Fiona (20), who looks after Carl (11), Debbie (9) and baby Liam (3). She is occasionally helped, more often hindered, by reluctant virgin 'Lip' (16) and the actively gay, but very private, Ian (15).
Welcome to a hectic world of sexual adventures, triumphs, love, scams and a fair bit of crime on a rough Manchester housing estate, where wheel-less cars are the norm and the moving ones are stolen.

When I put this on i thought it would be brilliant, but the only part i found funny was frank and the goldfish in the vase, the rest was pure tripe, not recommended it is a highly overrated show!!!
Absolutely fabulous.

I had never watched Shameless before and my boyfriend nagged and nagged until i watched it one night on TV. SERIES 5!
I thought that one episode was marvelous so i had to buy the first series and follow it.
Hilarious - buy it now!
Although i agree with the other rating - that the box makes you feel like your gunna snap the disc when getting it out.
Brilliant!

A great series, entertainment by the bucket load!
My only complaint it that you need to be carefull not to snap the disc when taking it out, as it has them stupid holders that make taking the disc out terrifying!
