I bought this dvd for my mom for christmas last year and being into action films and horrors it didnt even cross my mind that i would like this film, but after hearing my mom go on about how good it was i bit the bullet and watched it. To my suprise i really enjoyed it, it wasnt just full of soppy lovey dovey moments as i expected it to be, it had mild action scenes and the storyline was quite interesting with little moments of comedy, although i have to admit what really pulled me in was the romance in the film. I thought Richard Coyle and Amelia Warner (who play the two love birds in question) were excellent and they were surrounded by an excellent British cast which included Martin Clunes, James McAvoy and Michael Kitchen to name but a few. All in all i think the film is worth a watch and and at 2 and half hours long you are getting good value for money at the price Play are charging. If you like period romances with a bit of action then i would certainly reccomend that you purchase this item.
