I wasn't a fan of Morse, but I love this. The acting is superb and I love the relationship between Lewis and Hathaway. But why oh why only four episodes in a series?

I never thought it possible to go on after Morse, but after the pilot episode and the second episode I was hooked! I take my hat off to both main characters and I want more! The directors have really succeeded in not only letting go of Morse in a respectable way, but giving Lewis and his seargent an absolutely brilliant opportunity of developing in their own very believable direction.
As good as I dared to hope it might be.

How do you follow Morse? Well, Lewis does so excellently. Thought the pilot was a little shaky but by the end of the second DVD we were hooked. Lewis does escape from the shadow of Morse and both his and his sergeant's characters develop well. A big toast to the writers and roll on the next season.
