Kayako and Toshio's curse continues by haunting The Grudge 2's only survivor, Jake (Matthew Knight), who is now confined to a psychiatric hospital after his family's alleged suicide. As Jake's case worker Dr. Sullivan (Shawnee Smith) investigates his Chicago home, the curse continues to claim more victims. As the rage spreads, it becomes clear that Jake's horrifying stories are true, and that a mysterious Japanese woman might be the only hope of burying the Grudge, that is, unless she too becomes another victim.

Equally as good as its predesesers the movie continues on from where two left off in the apartment block in america from number 2 not a dissapointment at all, great movie
The original Grudge movie was great, the second movie was ok but the third movie almost hurt to watch.
This movie has none of the class of the original, it even seems to have lost the ability to be frightening.
Ok the movie has some gory bits but thats not enough to make it a good horror movie. Shawnee Smith does her best but even she can't save this film.
If your a real fan of the Grudge then stay away from this film.
watched this the other night and it is as scary the other, carries on from the 2nd film and but i fink thats its just people trying to get there moneys worth out of the franchise, but still scary
I did have doubts about this film when deciding whether to buy it or not for two reasons one because none of the original cast from the 1st movie were in it and it was set in a different location than the first two in my opinion for a film like this to be scary it has to be set in the same place as the first two films at least in the first two films you saw the house where it all happened in this one the only thing you see of the house is a flashback in the opening credits and that's it so if your looking for it to be set in the same place as the first two your going to be disappointed some of the actors are good for example Jake just a shame that he dies at the start of the film but there are some scary scenes in here alright for a fright night in but nothing outstanding if you want real scares stick to the first two films.
I do really like the grudge films, and this one is actually quite alright, but it's the same, it did bore me a little but well worth the watch, if u like grudge get it, if u haven't seen grudge and have clicked this.. Then watch the first one first!!
