Oh come on guys, it's only a few quid and you're complaining?
It's entertaining and the effects are amazing.
I love all the parody movies of Star Trek, this is no different.
The cliffhanger at the end is making me NEED a sequel to find out what could happen next.
I've followed these guys for years and they're really funny. Sure subtitles are a let down but looking at the actors facial impressions sets the mood for me enough to get into it.
The story itself is entertaining and that is what a movie is about. Entertainment. For such a cheap price for a full feature movie with humour and great effects you're certainly getting more than you pay for.

  guys give them a break..

considering that this film was made by a group of regular finnish guys the production values are amazing. this is not a Cinema release film by any stretch but the fact that one guy did all the SFX on his home computer is quite simply staggering. also the subtitles do'nt distract from the story at all (which is hilariuos) open your minds people!!
if you are a fan of sci-fi in any sense you have to see star wreck at some point thats the end of it.

  Total Wreck

Oh my god! It's been a while since I've watched a film as bad as this. The plot is terrible, the acting is worse and the jokes are worse still. To top it all off, it's in Finish with English subtitles - so you really have too work to find out how bad it is while missing out on the best part of the film - the effects, which are passable but nothing to write home about! I was expecting something along the lines of Airplane but was sadly dissapointed, instead I felt as if I was watching a school production that had some money chucked at it for the effects. Very poor, avoid at all costs as it certainly is comedy's final frontier!

  Star Wreck of a film

Oh dear, bought this film with out-knowing it was all subtitled, the packaging hardly tells yous that it is (only a small box on the bottom that was easliy missed) and it was the packaging that had me buy this to start with. But that being said, this subtitled comedy just does'nt somhow work, its not that funny, maybe if they had put a dubbed english version on then prehaps it would be worth a watch, but unless you speak finnish then avoid because its just not watchable as a subtitled comedy.

How anyone could give this film more than 2 stars is beyond me. For starters I don't particulary like subtitled films. It detracts from the film. Secondly, this is a micky take of our beloved star trek, yet it comes from star trek fans!?!?. It IS NOT really very funny either BUT I'll give it two stars for it's sfx which are quite good!. The rest of it you can keep. Spend your dosh on going to see the new Star Trek film instead which is major awesome dudes!!

The making of documentary is a film itself.

It is hard to be objective about a film you've seen become reality. So I'm not going to even try.

However on the disc there is also a feature lenght "making of" documentary that chronicles the seven years(!) it took to make this film. It is in many ways a film on it's own, with a very honest look at how a group of youngsters managed to do a film like this - and how they grew up doing it.

A must for all Star Trek and Babylon 5 fans, this really is good.

The special effects in the space battles are better than all the current Star Trek movies combined! It has some great comedy as well.

I'm going to watch it again right now. :-)

I watched this film a few years ago whilst bored at university, it has some funny moments and the special effects are actually quite good, the space battles I enjoyed along with the witty remarks!
