Guy Ritchie, writer/director of 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' delivers another awe-inspiring directorial masterpiece. 'Snatch' is an edgy and hilarious film about a diamond heist gone wrong, a colourful Irish gypsy turned prizefighter, and a very temperamental dog.

In the heart of gangland, two novice unlicensed boxing promoters, Turkish (Jason Statham) and Tommy (Stephen Graham) get roped into organising a bare-knuckled fight with local kingpin villain and fellow boxing promoter Brick Top (Alan Ford). But it all goes wrong when Brick Top's fighter, who is rigged to win, is suddenly knocked out by the boys' wildcard Irish gypsy boxer, One Punch Mickey O'Neil (Brad Pitt). Unfortunately things go from bad to worse as Mickey starts playing by his own rules and the duo find they are heading for a whole lot of trouble.

Meanwhile en route to New York to deliver a stolen 84-carat diamond to head honcho Avi (Dennis Farina), Franky Four Fingers (Benicio Del Toro) is robbed of the stone. Forced to jump on the next plane to London, Avi is by no means pleased. He hires local legend Bullet Tooth Tony (Vinnie Jones) to find Franky and the diamond. The hunt for the missing stone launches everyone into a spiral of double-crossing vendettas as different parties pursue personal agendas, some of them farcical, most of them illegal and all of them destined to spin completely out of control...

Snatch I a genius film that shows the lives of various different crooks in the East end of London and how there lives all become entangled because of a diamond.

This is a fresh comical film that will really make you laugh. With some great dialogue and some brilliant acting this is a no brainer, a must have for your DVD collection.

The sound tracks brilliant too!!!

Excellent London Based Gangster Comedy.
Absolutely adore this movie, because of the Story, the Humour and the Characters that populate the story.
The eclectic mix of Actors used, do a fine job. Brad Pitt's performance left me stunned, he is AWESOME in this, and he just nails the Gypsy character to a tee.
I'm genuinely surprised that he was not nominated for Supporting Actor Awards at various ceremonies at the time.
Bencio del Toro is Quirky, Jason Statham is dependable, Dennis Farina Mike Reid are funny, Vinnie Jones is better in this than Lock Stock and Alan Ford as Brick Top is terrifying.
I also really like the look of the movie, it makes the lifestyle seem a lot more appealing than it really would be.
At 90 minutes, the movie just breezes past and is perfect for repeat viewings.
The Oasis track used during One Punch Mickey's fight is just a perfect tune and the rest of the Soundtrack aint to bad either.

This is a scorchingly entertaing Guy Ritchie film, after the brilliant debut with Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, this second feature is no disppointment, infact it improves on it, wth a stronger cast, bigger budget and brilliantly funny diologue. Most of Lock Stocks original cast return in similar roles, but it's Bradd Pitts amazing turn as the Pikey that out shines the rest, with his at times unrecognisable dialect. This is one of the best British crime thrillers of the decade and is a must buy.
