What would you do if you were invisible? How far would you go?
After years of experimentation, Dr. Sebastian Caine (Bacon), a brilliant, but arrogant and egotistical scientist working for the defense department, has successfully transformed mammals to an invisible state and brought them back to their original physical form. Determined to achieve the ultimate breakthrough, Caine instructs his team to move on to Phase III: human experimentation. Using himself as the first subject, the invisible Caine finds himself free to do the unthinkable. But Caine's experiment takes an unexpected turn when his team can't bring him back. As the days pass, he grows more and more out of control, doomed to a future without flesh as the Hollow Man.

I agree with Perfect5.
This has been one of the few films I have actually wanted to walk out of! (If only I'd told my mate I was with, we could have had another pint!)
Don't get me wrong. Kevin Bacon is a good actor, but not in this film. And Paul Verhoeven made good films (RoboCop is one of his), but not this time.
The only redeeming factor could be the special effects, but nowadays we are so USED to seeing awesome effects that they need to be enhanced by, I don't know, a decent plot? Character development? Originality? Not just reducing the idea to a titilating slasher film with loads of explosions because you've run out of ideas!
Perfect5 is perfectly right. This film is truly missable... I just wish I had!
Ignore Him!

this is not a bad film at all, infact it's quite the opposite, if you love films like robo-cop and starship troopers then this is the film for you, as it is written & ditrected by the same man, Paul Verhoeven
Invisible script?

This is truly awful - by far the worst film I have EVER seen at the cinema.
Please, if you are thinking of buying this, rent it first and then realise you have saved the money (apart from the rental fee that is!)
