This morose mini-series about vampires living among us was probably a bit before its time, now that "Twilight" and "True Blood" are mainstream staples. Doesn't stop it from being all that good, however. Although it's not short of ideas, it's so listlessly acted and directed, it's almost impossible to become engaged by it - some mean feat when you have 6 hours at your disposal. Davenport is miscast as the action hero and Harker gives a completely somnambulent performance. Yes, the mood is supposed to be dark and foreboding. Here, however, director Ahearne merely manages to make it dark and dull.

Fantastic. This show was ahed of its time and It used every peace of tech of its time to advance a very very cliver idea, An idea that is only seen in part in Blade series (Movies). Cast Fantastic Writing Fantastic and remembering the time it was well made the as production was Very good. If this show was made today it would be a Huge hit in the same Vane as Dr Who. I remenbered it after seeing it once and I bought it as soon as was possibile and I still dont regret. You will love this Show, Probibly why I Do Not like the New Batch of Lovy Duvie Vamps aka True Blood

A great story, retelling the vamipre myth in the modern world. Well worth buying. Those who loved Apparitions, will love this. A classic series.

The sory of a government agency fighting vampires may sound a bit...cliched to most people. The great success of Ultraviolet was that it took this concept and made it almost plausible. For one, there is no superstision- vamps are referred to as 'Code 5' (The Roman numeral V being the closest the show comes to even saying the word vampire).
Refreshingly for a show about the battle between light and dark, the characters are all shades of grey- the 'good' guys are every bit as scheming, devious and ruthless as their 'inhuman' opponents.
Be warned though, the show ends on a pretty massive cliffhanger, and these 6 episodes are all we'll ever get!
As a modern retelling of the Vampire myth, you really can't get better, even Buffy can't touch the quality of the show.

one of the best tv shows ever!!!
