This film "Lady Vengeance" is the latest in the revenge series of films by the acclaimed Korean director Park Chan-wook (sympathy for mr vengeance, oldboy) the story follows a young woman Lee Guam-ja who has just served 13 years for the kidnapping and murder of a child, a crime which some belive she was not responsible for, if this was the case why did she confess openly to such an evil act? as she leaves prison she instantly puts into action a plan of revenge on the one who was responsible for her incarnation, a plan that has been in development for the 13 years she was inside. She starts to call up favors from her former inmates who are all to willing to help, as she has helped them whilst inside. The music score for this film is one of the best i have ever heard and it really does help to set the atmosphere in which the film takes part. The acting is once again top noch with the leading lady portraying anger, sadness and grief so perfectly that if this was a hollywood production an oscar would certainly be hers. There are a few twists along the way but nothing too dramatic and once again this film is subtitled but please dont let that put you off this absolute treat of a film! 5 out 5
