Everything about this series - from the acting to the music to the production design to the sets to the stories - is absolutely superb. Few other series can maintain such a consistently high level for so many years. I've noticed that the price on Play.com fluctuates from time to time; I'd say for anything below 70 pounds buy this collection if you are an Agatha Christie fan - it does her ingenuity justice.

I`ve always liked Poirot, but to be honest I would find it difficult to
part with so much money for episodes that I know inside out and
back to front. You don`t need to test your grey cells because the
many series are either repeated on Sky or ITV. We all know the
outcome before Hastings sneezes, mon amis, or Miss Lemon
tuts. As for Jaap, he`s never right ! For addicts only

Malo is obviously clueless about the original novels on which the TV adaptations are based. Japp has already been shoehorned into too many stories in which he originally had no part. in terms of fidelity to its source material, this series is a vast improvement.

I have to disagree with malo 30 about the last run of the poirot series- yes it is in some ways a shame not to see hastings and/or miss lemon and/or japp BUT the quality of these episodes is even better than the previous high standards! Sad Cypress especially is brilliant! the whole series is a case of complete brilliance throughout.

My Girl friend and I are mad about Poirot, but at the sixth series I could not believe it, what was in front of me on the TV. Poirot was there churning of the grey cells, and funny Jap and the other lot of the gang not, why destroy some beautiful viewing time by not including the old gang. Shame, pure shame...

Top 100 DVD Reviewer

Agatha Christie's Poirot stories are among her most popular, and feature some incredibly strong storytelling - packed with twists in the tale, clues and red herrings.

David Suchet was born to play Hercule Poirot and Hugh Fraser makes a very gentle and likeable Captain Hastings.

This set may seem quite a lot to spend in one go, but when you look at the programmes (both long and short stories) included in this set then you will conclude that it is very good vaue for money.

Test your little grey cells and enjoy!
