This excellent miniseries is set in the 1950s in london at a time of great social change as britains empire was collapsing and the first wave of carribean labour came to bolster the workforce of a depleted nation, amongst this the flamboyant and gifted detective jericho goes about his work battling crime, the crimes and his own personal life take equal importance in the stories but this does not detract from the series at all, if you like period detective dramas such as poirot or sherlock holmes, this will sit very nicely in your collection .
