Star Trek's original run comes to a close with this season of varying episodes that took it up to it's cancellation in 1969 - and beginning the long journey to the later TMP and onwards.
Again, it's like watching the episodes for the first time again, thanks to the sheer quality of the remastering work done. The new effects continue to impress.
It's actually very fun to watch the 'preview trailer' of each episode with the original footage, so as to highlight the difference between that and the new crisp images.
I've had huge fun rediscovering this series and at a far more reasonable price for these sets than they once cost - you too can follow the Voyages of the USS Enterprise from start to finish!

one star off only because season 3 was the worst.some great episodes plus some real stinkers.nicely put together box set.again a bargain.
Some of the best episodes in the original run and some of the worse.
CGI is superb.
I have the unremastered dvd boxes and consider buying the remastered seasons. Unfortunately this third season does not seem to have dutch subtitles. This would be a shame as the first two seasons do have them. Can anybody tell us if they are there or not? Maybe play.com just forgot to mention the subtitles.
