 Brilliant stuff

Imaginationland is a really good watch. Like all great South Park episodes, it has tremendous repeat value and I must've watched it 20 times by now at least. There's still lot's to laugh at, even after multiple viewings.

As has been noted, this is the longer version (ever so slightly) and contains swearing, so good times all round :)

Recommended.

Great feature and good extras, let down slightly by quality.

I pretty much agree with IanC14. Imaginationland is a fantastic three parter by Matt and Trey, and the version on the DVD is the "Director's Cut" version. I think there might be one or two scene transitions that are longer than the one that was aired, and no swear words are beeped. Also included are two bonus episodes - Woodland Critter Christmas, and Manbearpig.

Anyway, I love South Park, and if you do, you'll have a real hoot watching these episodes, especially if you've never seen them before. Unfortunately, the actual video quality on this DVD isn't that great (same thing with The Cult of Eric Cartman, another South Park DVD). There's lots of combing present (artefact of interlaced video), and there's some weird letterboxed widescreen thing going on.

It's a shame, and is the reason I gave this DVD four stars, otherwise it'd have gotten five. Anyway, it's not too ruinous, and let's face it - South Park looks like crap, anyway. The stuff on the DVD looks as good as it does on television, and for South Park that's good enough, really. It's a shame they didn't make it progressive-scan and such, but it doesn't really matter.

 Hilarious

Absolutely brilliant :)
Certificate 15 justified

I laughed out loud so many times, even thinking about certain scenes still makes me giggle.
Personally I don't think you have to enjoy the South Park series to enjoy this, but if you liked the original South Park movie and Team America this is an absolute must...

I think this is one you can watch over and over and still see new bits.

5/5

This dvd movie is made up fo the 3 Imaginationland episodes, and is really funny.

Sadly the dvd itself is a bit subpar, with plenty of interlacing and for whatever reason is presented in letterboxed widescreen instead of its proper widescreen ratio.

 amazing sharp funny

this is by far the best thing done by matt and trey so far from the christmass critters trying give aids to strawberry short cake, or the camp voice given to jason to cartman's nut sunday this is worth the money.

 Sheer Genius!!!

I've been a fan of South Park since the show first aired in the UK in 1997. And by standard tradition, most American shows don't even surpass 3 years (look away Friends and The Simpsons). South Park has seemingly just got better and better in the last twelve years, and that's down to brilliant writing, hilarious characters and a keen eye for current political and showbiz affairs.

So why 5/5? Imaginationland, in my opinion, is one of, if not THE finest work Parker and Stone have done. The absurdness of 'nuking' our imagination, and cuddly woodland critters commiting horrid, lewd acts upon Strawberry Shortcake can only work in a show like this.

Any fan of South Park who may not be up to speed with the latest seasons or characters will still laugh-a-plenty at this, it's just that good. And I'll be surprised at anyone who thinks otherwise.

An hour of genius comedy work. Bravo Trey & Matt!
