Jan-Michael Vincent and Ernest Borgnine star in the cult favourite, Airwolf - although some might call "Airwolf" itself the star. The Emmy Award-winning series followed the dangerous missions of the high-tech helicopter, Airwolf, and it's renegade pilot, Stringfellow Hawke.

Fans can now relive every secret mission and dangerous operation in all 11 episodes of Season One. The final episode of this season made it into the 1985 Guinness Book of Records for the largest use of live explosives at one time in a TV series!

 Superb 80's show

Possibly my all time favourite 80's action show and that's saying something.
I grew up pre-teens watching this and loved it then. Season 1 is by far the best as from season 2 onwards they wanted to make it more 'family' friendly and it changed the tone of the program (tho season 2 is still worth getting).
This first season is much darker and less fluffy than later ones and is much better for it.. The pilot (no pun intended!) episode especially is fairly serious in parts, and Moffett genuinely comes across as someone you'd have no qualms about shooting..
For the current asking price for £5 this is a no-brainer if you ever watched Airwolf, or even if you've never seen it before. Aside from the series itself it would be worth it just for some of the great aerial footage..

The best season of Airwolf, now pair it with the soundtrack

Purely and simply -- the best single season of US action telly from the 80s! Feature film production values, real-life hardware to play with, an awesome soundtrack (the fantastic 'AIRWOLF THEMES' official 2CD soundtrack is also available to purchase from the Music Downloads section here at Play.com), great scripts, sublime acting from the leads, and of course that helicopter -- The Lady. How TV should still be. Shame there's been nothing like it since! This set has no extras but who cares, at this price and for this quality it's the best 12 hours of entertainment you'll have in a long time.

Top 100 DVD Reviewer

I loved this show as a child and i love it now! this is everything 'Blue Thunder' wanted to be but never was! if you like action, super sonic helicopter with an array of super weapons, story with heart and a lead character who suffers from inner demons then you'll adore.tv but funny that this was more realistic than the 'A'team.

 Totally Retro

Man i forgot how cool this was and how pants the acting was during my childhood- but the chopper is still sexy, even by todays standards. It is a MUST watch for young'uns today and and even old'uns that wish to revisit there childhood.... Santini air Rocks
