The film, i found, was somewhat of a letdown, does not by any means to the book justice - and failed to engage me interest from the off - unfortunate as it may seem - i wish i could have more good things to say about this film but words fail me!
Amazing

A very intriguing and powerful film.
I enjoyed every bit of it!
Lovely ending to it, and even better, there were no subtitles!
Fab!

Beautiful backdrops but the story was expected and well drawn out ,
kept waiting for something exiting to happen, still waiting!! Watch it if there is absolutely nothing else to watch instead........
good film

this film is quite a good film to watch when you have nothing to do at night and you can't sleep! i ordered it off here after reading the amazing reviews but it did not reach the 5stars for me. i am only 15years old so maybe you need to be a bit older for this sort of film to appeal to you! however, at £2.99, i dont regret buying it and i'm glad i did. its not a film i would watch over and over again though! x
Memorable

I saw this movie after my holiday in Japan. I missed all the old towns in Japan and this movie brought back memories. The move is so absorbing from beginning to end; from the eyes of a geisha. If you are planning to visit Japan; watch this movie as it will prepare before your trip!
Great movie, Epic Cinematography

I ordered this movie since I had heard that it was a very good movie. I completely agree. Without leaving any spoilers, you see the life of a woman from child to geisha, and it is a very well told story. The way it is filmed can only be described as epic.
This is not your traditional love story either, after all this is the life of a geisha.
I thoroughly recommend this film, a great insight into Japanese history.

Personally I don't normally tend to watch films of different cultures such as this one, but by flicking onto it when there was nothing else to watch it instantly changed my perceptive. The film was well narrated, quite easy to follow without having read the book, but like most films you would probably have to watch it at least twice to get a complete understanding of what is happening - ie. who the characters are and to distiguish between them. I found it to be a lovely story and well depicted on screen, and gave a great insight into the lives of Geisha - none of which I had ever known about. It is also a nice change from most of the monotonous love stories out there, 5 stars
Work of Art.
