The brand new sitcom written by Graham Linehan (Father Ted, Black Books) and produced by Ash Atalla (The Office), The IT Crowd centres on the worlds of Roy, Moss and Jen who make up the IT department of Reynholm Industries. While their social betters work upstairs in fantastic surroundings, the IT dept. work in a horrible dark basement underneath it all...

The IT Crowd will strike a chord with everyone who dreads getting stuck in a corner with the IT boys at the office party or who's ever phoned their IT deptartment only to be asked "Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

Filmed on location and in front of a live studio audience, The IT Crowd is a surreal look at the underclass of a company.

 Awesome!

I love this programme and was sorely dissappointed that there were only 6 episodes! There wasn't a really big storyline but each little one in each programme was just brilliant, the actors really made the characters their own, the lines were witty and it was just so funny. Bring on season 2!

 A little gem!

Firstly, this was never going to appeal to everyones taste as it's SO "over the top" geeky, but that's what makes it so funny....most people know a geek and can totally relate to the characters! I really enjoyed it and there are some quality laugh out loud moments, a really good buy if you enjoy it for what it is.

 just no!

from the guy who wrote father ted and with chris morris on board you would have expected much more.. sadly it doesn't live up to what it sould do! the cliched geeks are similar to the one's in saved by the bell and the chick in it is awful.. there are a few gems in it but not enough to warrent wasting your time watching it!

So close to actual characters I know.

I work in the IT support industry and found the characters in this sitcom matched those of people I know very closely and I am able to associate the main characters with some of my colleagues. Just hope they dont read this review. This is really good and funny material, very well portrayed by a first class cast. Well worth the trip.
