I work in the IT support industry and found the characters in this sitcom matched those of people I know very closely and I am able to associate the main characters with some of my colleagues. Just hope they dont read this review. This is really good and funny material, very well portrayed by a first class cast. Well worth the trip.

This is by far the best comedy I've ever seen, I've watched it alot of times, and it never gets old.

Making Little Britain look rather bland, The IT Crowd is nearly as good as Garth Marenghi's Darkplace (also starring Mr Ayoade) and has the irresistable silliness of Father Ted.

To The People Who Gave It 1 Star, You Obviously Have No Sense Of Humour! When I Watched This I Laughed So Much. Many of The Jokes Will Stick With You Because Of The Actors' Brilliance, For Example:

"I Can't Go To Prison Roy, They'll Rape The Flip Out Of Me!"

Whoever gives this a bad review clearly hasn't watched it properly or just doesn't get the jokes. This is one of the best comedy shows around in my opinion.

Yes father Ted was/is awesome but it's about a different thing, therefor you shouldn't compare...=]

Firstly anyone below or indeed above that does not like this show obviusly has no sense of humour what so ever! It is hillarious and each epiosde goes in a flash. Fantastic, great dry humour, a must see and must buy for anyone!!!

Awful, awful programme. Formulaic drivel akin to "My Family". What an insult to the real geniuses behind The Office and Father Ted to be compared to them - these were orginal comedies that people had put a lot of work and effort into to make them brilliant. The IT crowd seems to have been put together in an afternoon with crap slaptick and a laughter track. Avoid at all costs.

No matter if one is on the IT side or the lovely users side , will have a great time . The only drawbacks are that we were not expecting to review our office day on DVD (it is so .... accurate !!!) and there were only six episodes - we cry for more
