Some friends are just friends. Others you get to see naked.
When Chris, a likable, high-school loser, finally gathers the courage to reveal his love to Jamie - the girl of his dreams and a super cool cheerleader - she rejects him, saying she just wants to be friends. So, he moves across the country and transforms himself into a selfish, womanizing and successful music executive. But, 10 years later, circumstances bring him back to his home town and fate reconnects him with the "just friends" girl of his dreams. Suddenly, Chris has the chance to undo the past, but unbelievably, he finds it more difficult to romance Jamie than it was 10 years ago. Can one escape the clutches of the "friend zone?" Is it possible to go from "just friend" to boyfriend? Chris is about to find out the hard way.

Not only does Just friends have the second best skiing quote in a comedy film (the first is in Better Off Dead) it has a fantastic ensemble cast and a wicked sense of humour. Ryan Reynolds treads the difficult path between nerd and cool and is never scared to make himself look ridiculous as Chris; the once overweight best friend of Amy Smart's cheerleader.
The laughs come thick and fast, often provided by Anna Faris' Paris Hilton/Nicole Ritchie singer wannabe-a truly insane creation. Throw in Chris Klein as Dusty, a fellow ex-nerd and the slimey competition for Smart's affections and Reynolds physical fights with his brother and you have one of the funniest comedies in years. Just don't let it slip off of your radar-it really is that good.
