Prepare yourself for the most irreverent and funny comedy that brings new meaning to juvenile delinquency!

Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott star in "Role Models" as Danny and Wheeler, two salesmen who trash a company truck on an energy drink-fueled bender. Upon their arrest, the court gives them a choice: do hard time or spend 150 service hours with a mentorship program. After one day with the kids, however, jail doesn't look half bad.

Surrounded by annoying do-gooders, Danny struggles with his every neurotic impulse to guide Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) through the trials of becoming a man. Unfortunately, the guy just dumped by his girlfriend (Elizabeth Banks) has only sarcasm to offer a bashful 16-year-old obsessed with medieval role play.

Meanwhile, charming Wheeler tries to trade in an addiction to partying and women to assist a fifth-grader named Ronnie (Bobb'e J. Thompson) redirect his foul-mouthed ways. It would probably help if Ronnie's new mentor wasn't an overgrown adolescent whose idea of quality time includes keggers in Venice Beach.

Once the center's ex-con director (Jane Lynch) gives them an ultimatum, Danny and Wheeler are forced to tailor their brand of immature wisdom to their charges. And if they can just make it through probation without getting thrown in jail, the world's worst role models will prove that, sometimes, it takes a village idiot to raise a child.

If you enjoyed Role Models then check out these 'bromance' classics and new favourites:

Clerks: Anything and everything happens when two generation X slackers are left to run the store.

Superbad: Two teen losers try to lose their virginity before college in this comedy from Seth Rogan et al.

White Men Can't Jump: Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes star as a couple of dysfunctional basketballing con artists

Swingers: Favreau and Vaughn are at their best in this hilarious tale of LA actors on the lookout for love.

One of the best comedies i have seen in years!
This movie had me in stitches from start to finish. Such a brillaint set of actors. The main characters were well cast, but even people like Martin and the king and his guards, who didnt have the biggest roles were given lines that just made it such a memorable film.
I enjoyed it so much that for once i watched the special feautres and theres one where they describe their characters and even that was hilarious.
i dont see how it could be rated for less than 5 stars. Higly Recommended!

Enjoyed this movie, very funny, thought the humour was going to be very low brow, but it wasnt.
Paul Rudd was good as usual and his chemistry with Sean William Scott was excellent.
Good story, Funny most of the way, with a Good ending.
Same type of movie as I Love You Man, Step Brothers and Dodgeball.

This movie may not be as funny as some of the recent comedic releases of 2009 but there is still good fun to be had and is still a good movie with some laugh out loud moments.

First off, the cast are brilliant, Paul Rudd is on top form as always and works excellently alongside his co-star Seann William Scott who is equally as great. Even the younger of the cast are excellent with Chrstopher Mintz Plasse aka McLovin and Bobb'e J. Thompson as the most unruly child in movie history.

The story is simple and a bit 'been there done that' but still manages to have its own original funny moments with laugh out loud jokes with a touch of physical comedy. Overall its a fun to watch movie that will have you coming back for more to watch over and over again.

 expected to be great...

if there was a 3.5 mark on this i would choose that but i'll make it a four. so i expected this to be a good film was was let down. i can seeit was funny in places but its more stupid than funny. i thought i was going to turn it off half way through. i would recomend you rented this first before you buy this

I had almost written Sean William Scott of as being typcast for his 'Stiffler' roles, however he more than proved me wrong with this role. A good match with Paul Rudd who's dry sarcastic lines in this film create some of the best comedy.
The pair play two friends forced to become 'Big Brothers' as part of their community service; one to a lonely teenager obsessed with mythical battles and the other a troublesome foul mouthed young boy.
This film displays some brilliant comedy from start to finish. If you like 'Anchorman', '40 Year Old Virgin', Knocked Up' etc you will enjoy this. An absolute must buy espically for the money you cant go wrong.
