"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is one of the greatest musicals EVER. The music is superb, the acting is cheesy and all the nods to the great sci-fi and B-movies of the late '50s are witty and clever and has one of the biggest cult status ever for a film. Even thirty years later it still gets shown at cinemas as a midnight showing. I love every minute of it. The sequel, "Shock Treatment" is just as brilliant, but it didn't get a big release when it first came out so not many people have heard of it, but you have to see it to believe it. one word for both films: AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I've loved RHPS since I was about 8 - so for over 10 years. I think it's a wonderful film. This review isn't for RHPS but for Shock Treatment.
I had to get the double pack, which means I have x2 RHPS dvd's, in order to own Shock Treatment.
Shock Treatment really is a gem of a film. The cast is brilliant; from Barry Humphries to Sinitta to Ruby Wax. The songs are awesome and catchy. It's a shame the film didn't do as well as RHPS because it really is a great film. .
It is one of my favourite films and I could watch it everyday and never get bored. In my opinion I slightly prefer it to RHPs.
ROCKY HORROR broke musical history and broke free and excperimented with things it showed us all the taboo things we should not see and is just damn right a guilty pleasure and shock treatment is also a very fun musical a MUST BUY!
