This was the best album ever written, and this was the best concert ever done, and it all just rocks.

Somehow the large majority of the feature album is better here than on the CD. I think the actors add a lot, but also the live aspect makes all the insane musicmanship more impressive. Also, no clarity has been lost by liveness, which is rare. The visual effects and film footage also rocks. Also so much raw passion was put into this that, for instance, Strange DeJaVu and Beyond This Life, not I thought the best from the album, turned out absolutely spiffing. Watch over and over and over and over and over.

Also included is a Mind Beside itself, which never really impressed me amazinly much on the original album, but this is again much much much much much better. Also is the definitive live performance of the definitive Dream Theater song, Learning to Live, which is better than the original album version again I think.
