This an underdog story of a boxer with no real future getting the chance to go for greatness. It also follows the romance which blossoms between bumbling Rocky and the shy Adrian. Many comedic and heartfelt moments come from Rocky's coach the late great Burgess Merdith and Adrians brother Burt Young. As a film it has everything you need, a relatable central character, inspiring story which remains exciting yet ultimately realistic, and of course that all time great theme tune that you will always remember. All in all one of the best films of the 1970's and certainly Stallones best performance.
