Japan once again has shown the world how to make good drama's without filling the scenes with wannabe tear jerking sentimental moments.
The story is of 1 son and 2 daughters who reunite following the unfortunate death of their parents. The family home which once housed the 3 of them returns to the way it used to be, and that isn't a place for happy memories.
The story is well written taking you into the minds and lives of the 3 children without you even noticing it. Through clever transfers into the past you get a good look into the lives they've all lived, who they are and what truly drives them.
It's a weel acted movie with great performances from all 4 of the main cast. It's a movie which is generally filled with misery but at times will still bring a smile to your face, even if it is an evil one.
