The year is 2019. Television is now ruling people's lives. The most popular 'audience participation' game show is 'The Running Man'- where convicts can win pardons instead of 'parting gifts' by defeating murderous henchmen known as 'stalkers'. The stalkers haven't had much of a challenge lately. Until Ben Richards comes along.

Wrongly convicted of slaughtering 1500 innocent people, Richards is the next contestant to fight for his life and his freedom. When 'Running Man' host Damon Killian says 'Come on down!', be prepared to pay with your life! But Ben Richards isn't going down without a fight. Off Richards goes into the burned-out sections of Los Angeles to face four of Killian's ace stalkers. Now the entire country is glued to the tube.

This is one of schwarzeneggers best ever movies, such a unique film with loads of cool memerable action scenes and dialogue, the soundtrack is also another cool element to the film, Its a shame that there is never any special features, hopefully one day they will release a 2-disc collectors edition, but until then if you do not have this or have not seen it then its a must have film. Sci-Fi gem!!

 Arnie At His Best!

Such an 80's classic. I re-watched this recently and the comparisons to modern day society are uncanny. (ie the TV show The Running Man and the people voting and polluting minds is similar to modern day programmes such as The X Factor.)
I really recommend this film to all. It has a dystopian feel to it and really makes you think.
Arnie is at his best in this movie. Whoever wrote his one-liners for this film is a genius. (they should write his one liners for being Governor of Cali!)
For 3 bones, it's an absolute bargain, the price of a pint but more fulfilling!

This is still a pretty good satire on game shows, made in 1987 (and it shows) The Running Man never the less is a pretty entertaing and corny action film.Although the film has dated badly compared to the likes of The Terminator and Predator, but if you want a retro action film you could do alot worse.
Undemanding fun!

One of my favourite Arny films...can't count how many times I have seen it but it never gets old, Awesome cheesey one liners throughout and nice 80's tunes that fit perfectly!
