Royal Rumble 2009 (Steelbook Edition)

The Royal Rumble 2009 was an action packed PPV with shocking twists and great starts to storylines there was a variety of matches that were all good including the Rumble match itself

ECW Championship - A good opener but the result was expected great back n forf traditional wrestling thow.

WWE Womens Championship - Great match could have been longer i thought the fans have been waiting for a while for Melina and Beth Phoenix to face off and the showdown at this PPV doesnt dissapoint with a surprising result which was the most shocking of the night in my opinion.

World Heavyweight Championship - Good Match considering we didnt know what Shawn Michaels was going to do most expected result of the night.

WWE Championship - Really good match as expected between these two and a shocking twist at the end.

Royal Rumble Match - As usual it always is a huge success of a match as it really is exciting to watch which is why with this match alone it gets 5/5 for me but my only problem i thought the result of this years one was slightly expected and i hate being able to expect who is gonna win a match Especially the Royal Rumble.

I think thow what makes this year rumble for me a great suceess it has a variety of descent matches.

I got to admit that every year the Royal Rumble is a great opening PPV of the year to start off the Road to Wrestlemania.
Jack Swagger Vs Matt Hardy *** not a bad opening contest which involved a lot of effort from Matt Hardy who was trying really hard to reclaim the ECW title, but unfortunately Hardy got himself slammed into the ringpost where Swagger connected Hardy with his finisher to retain the ECW title.
Melina Vs Beth Phoenix ** this kind of match felt like a match you'd see on RAW, Beth Phoenix dominated most of the match but you don't doubt Melina as she managed to suprise us all with a victory over the Glamazon to become the new Womens champion.
John Cena Vs JBL ** both Cena and JBL have had good matches in the past but this one is not their best, this match had a lot of slow moments but JBL was more dominate than Cena, but i;d count this match as a fun match as HBK suprised us all with a superkick to JBL, then a superkick to Cena, Cena just about picked up the victory to retain the WHC.
Jeff Hardy Vs Edge No DQ *** this match was much better than the WHC match-up as Jeff took a huge dive off a ladder onto an announcers table with Chavo on itm but what a shocker at the end.
Royal Rumble Match ***** kind of you know who is going to win this one but not a disappointment, i enjoyed this Rumble match as always as the likes of Rey Mysterio and John Morrison made a huge start where we then saw the likes of HHH, Orton, Legacy, Kane, The Undertaker, Y2J who always make the rumble match alittle more interesting, would have liked to have seen the Big Show win this1 as he came in at number 30 but we got Orton and the extras re gd
