When Mel and Jules return from a girls' weekend vacation, they find themselves stranded at the airport, late on a rain-drenched night. Wanting nothing more than to get home safe and sound, they board an airport shuttle with a helpful Driver and a trio of other passengers. But what begins as a short ride home slowly descends into darkness after a detour into a seedy neighborhood leads to a series of terrifying events.

As the night wears on, the Driver forces each passenger in turn to perform simple, yet strange tasks, and Mel begins to suspect there is something more sinister at work than a simple robbery. It is only in the final shocking conclusion that Mel and Jules discover the Driver's true intentions and must summon all their wits to save themselves.

Shuttle - was a bumpy ride

I've just enjoyed a weekend of horror dvd's Shuttle being one of them. I once had a creepy experience on a shuttle bus when arriving late in a thunderstorm at New York Airport. Nothing major happened! (nobody wanted to remove my liver or sell me into slavery!) but it amazed me just how eerily quiet the place was, the storm was raging, the shuttle driver seemed to be double backing a lot down the same roads ... and I remember thinking 'You're here alone and you clearly watch waaaay too many horror films!"

Maybe that's why I enjoyed Shuttle more than some reviewers. The premise felt like a new 'In' to the survival horror yarn which i liked. It clearly has low budget roots and I think they managed some novel twists here and there which kept me on my toes.
Q - Would the same twists hold up on a second viewing? A -maybe.
Q - Would some of the characters actions begin to grate after a while? A- undoubtedly but that's hardly a new cross to bear for us Horror fans!.
Q - Would the mechanics of the Shuttle Bus drivers' actual plan hold up to closer scrutiny? A- No probably not..

But for a saturday night watch it kept me entertained something many a bigger budget horror effort has failed to do. I'd say a solid 3 out of 5.

I have just finished watching the region 1 dvd of this very engrossing and involving movie. To be honest I was not expecting much having heard nothing about this taut little thriller.I won't give anything away as to spoil it for you but I will say this is very well made and has you on the edge of your seat through-out which is a rarety these days. Not sure if this is worth a purchase as I would not want to go through this emotional roller coaster again but it is a must see.Highly recommended.

 A HIDDEN GEM

I watched this film with my fiancee Wendy & we were to be honest expecting the usual horror which was watchable at a very cheap price but we got the unexpected.
A truly gripping film from beginning to end only predictable in one bit but this didn't take away from this gem.
The acting was excellent the 2 girls likable the driver very evil and played his part really well.
A twist to the film we were seriously not expecting whatsoever, it has the potential to be a cult classic like the equally outstanding "Eden Lake".
Buy this and you won't be sorry it has a serious message which you don't expect from this type of film and left me totally open mouthed.
It's a gem in every sense acting storyline everything it's just brilliant.

Might not be to everyone's taste but I enjoyed watching it.

I personally thought this was a good film. It had some gory bits in and I thought it had a good twist to it. The ending was different to what I was expecting.
