Best Comedy ever - but I can't tell you that, it's classified.
Pretty much all the plaudits that have ever been thrown at this film are 100% deserved and without being remotely misplaced!!
This is the daddy of all the spoof flicks that came after it - surpassing everything including The Naked Gun series - with it's completely off the wall screwball farce mixed with verbal, visual and random jokes so fast, so frequent, so blink and you'll miss them, that multiple watches are a must!!
Of course, since it was made in 1981 there are some things that may go over the heads of some (certain references to people famous at that time, events and some cameos etc) but it's nothing to worry about due to the fact that there is so much else that is just simply timeless classic humour and goofiness you will always find more than enough to laugh at.
Extras are decent if not many - a good commentary, and a very good trivia track that affords insight into some of the gags etc and is informative.
The cast is superb - everyone playing it deadly straight, with a cracking Elmer Bernstein score and as a matter of fact, writing this is making me want to watch it again.....so I think I will!!
