 Poor Effort

Being a big Boosh fan and loving the series and previous live dvd this comes as quite a disapointment.
The first half is an extended introduction and moves along very slowly. The second half picks up somewhat but is still not reaching the potential.

No matter what anybody says, ANY boosh fans would love this DVD, the mistakes are what makes the whole thing funny! it is so funny. I brought this for a friend for Christmas along with the mighty boosh calender and she loved it, i have the limited addition one, they are both very funny and i highly recommend it!

 Lazy and disappointing

I've been a huge Boosh fan for years and was sorely disappointed by this tour and the resultant DVD. It seems that there was public demand for a tour, so they did one, regardless of whether or not they had any material for one and they definitely didn't have the material for it. The Boosh boys are so good at ridiculous, yet hilarious plots, but that's completely missing from this. There is no plot, just a mishmash of disappointing sketches featuring old jokes and characters thrown in for Little Britain-style catchphrase repetition. The show just doesn't work and it's clear that no real effort has been put into the writing. They've also tried to fake the shambolic and improvised nature that made the Boosh so popular originally with a number of obviously rehearsed slip-ups that coincidentally happened on every show of the tour. It's such a shame if two of the most exciting and original comedy minds of recent years are as out of ideas as this suggest.

The complete lack of extras on the DVD itself is pretty atrocious. If you want any extras such as behind the scenes documentary, you have to buy a 'Special Edition' set that also contains the 2006 tour DVD, which every Boosh fan worth their salt will already own. As amazing as the previous tour was (and it really was, which made this one even more of a let down), I don't want to own it twice.

I saw this live in Plymouth and I was a bit disappointed. It felt like the whole thing was thrown together with songs dumped on the end of the performance. It was almost torturous to watch and couldn't wait for it to finish. The second half was better as it had a bit of a plot. Everything that I thought was genuine funny mistakes to the live performance I saw turned out to be a set up for example Bollo falling over and Nabu laughing at the first line. What happened to these guys?

 Just not very good.

Saw this live and have to say it was a major dissapointment. It seemed like it was thrown together in seconds. Completely missing any of the magic that made the first tour so brilliant. Must do better in future lads.

 Not bad...

I went to see this show November 08 in Bournemouth... it was a good show, it was funny in the right places, and the band were pretty good, it did seem a bit like they were trying to get every character they possibly could into it, but I still think it was good - I dont think it was disappointing...

The first Live show was brilliant and even though this wasnt the same, perhaps this one is equally brilliant for different reasons... Some Boosh fans would prefer storylines - in which case the first show may be right for you... Some other Boosh fans may prefer more of a musically based show - in which case this show is better for you...

I don't personally think it's a bad show, for Boosh fans - this is a must have, just be prepared for some music!

Not as good as the first tour

I saw this in Bournemouth last year and was really looking forward to it. I must say I was a little bit disappointed at the lack of a story (unlike the first live show) but it was still quite funny. The characters are all still there but this show would have been better with a plot.

 Superb second Live tour

Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe they don't need or want a story? And that music has always been a big part of the Boosh? This is what they do best, it's random, off track, zany humour with crazy songs throughout, that's what it's all about! Sure it's not as good as the first live DVD, but that was amazing and hard to beat. It's got the characters, the laughs, and everything any Boosh fan could want. Cheers.
