Predator: Deep inside the jungles of Latin America a team of elite commandos are being slaughtered by a mysterious predator. No longer are they the hunters, they are the prey: of an alien whose only instinct is to kill. One by one it strikes with inhuman ferocity. Now to survive, with the jungle as their only ally they face their greatest challenge: to stay alive.
Predator 2: Last time it landed in the jungle. This time, it's chosen Los Angeles. Ravaged by open warfare between rival drug gangs, L.A. is the perfect killing ground for the Predator, who is drawn by heat and conflict. When the police find mutilated bodies, Lieutenant Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover) thinks it's the work of the feuding gangs. Then a mysterious government agent (Gary Busey) arrives and orders him to stay off the case. Instead, Harrigan sets out to learn what is really going on, and comes face to face with the savage alien in a climatic, electrifying confrontation...

Predator is the finest action movie, apart from maybe T2, of a generation. Arnie is on top form and perfectly cast playing the captains role. Carl Weathers also puts in a stellar performance as a pig-headed old skool soldier refusing to accept anything that maybe out of this world - even a fing lizard! Bill Duke is also 'boss'.
Predator 2 is as good a sequel they could have produced with Danny Glover this time playing the captains role as a maverick detective that plays no favourites. Bill Paxton is also good as the smooth talking ladies man that was always gonna get nailed by the merciless Predator. In conclusion, both great action films that hit the spot ;)
predator is a classic in every sense.introducing one of the most identifiable aliens in movie history, coupled with one of arnies best movies, its a win win situation!
also, there is predator 2. i class this film on its own merits, and think its a superb movie. 2 great films for a great price!
