To Unravel A Murder, You Have To Strip It To The Bone.

Forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperence Brennan, who works at the Jeffersonian Institution and writes novels as a sideline, has an uncanny ability to read clues left behind in a victim's bones. Consequently, law enforcement calls her in to assist with murder investigations when the remains are so badly decomposed, burned, or destroyed that the standard identification methods are useless. Brennan often finds herself teamed with Special Agent Seely Booth (Boreanaz), a former Army sniper who mistrusts science and scientists when it comes to solving crimes...

This show mixes light humour and crime and a bit of sexual chemistry between the 2 main characters to make a interesting 40 minutes. Recommended for those who like NCIS, Cold Case etc

They dont make shows like this anymore!

Just fantastic watching, really is. This is how tv shows should be made these days, just brilliant. The chemistry between Brennan and Booth is one of the best tv partnerships ever on screen, definately worth buying each season and following it.

It took me a long time to get into this show but after the first half of the season I became addicted to it. Why? Not the stories (they vary in quality thru the season), Not the twists (they didn't start til season 2 really), No two people - David Boreanaz and Emil Deschannel. With maybe the best on screen chemistry seen in years (back to Moonlighting even) . Like David and Maddie, or Mulder and Scully (who they oddly remind me of most) these two actors brighten up the screen with their sparky dialogue, will-they won't-they sizzle and charm! It's them you want to watch, and as the show develops, the stories around them start to become far stronger, as do the team of 'squints' to support them in their investigations. Season 2 continues even more strongly but this is where it begins.

Just got it for Christmas ...

Wow!
I have watched Bones for years now, but it's so nice not having to fast forward or watch the adverts.
The featurettes are brilliant and I could have asked for a better christmas present.
:)

 Light hearted anatomical fun

A great twist on the tired old CSI theme, Bones is a joy to watch and easy going with light hearted banter a plenty. The actors are fresh and not type cast from previous roles meaning it's all a new experience for the viewer. The social chasm of the characters is brilliant and David Boreanaz is light years away from his Angel days, shining in his new slightly softer role. This is a great DVD collection for anybody, get it now or you'll regret the same old tired lines from CSI!
