Wrestlemania 22 from Chicago Illinois , I thought was one of the best wrestlemanias of the new millenium because it consistently had good matches unlike the next years Wrestlemania 23. Mick foley versus Edge , HBK versus Vince Mcmahon , The Undertaker versus Mark Henry ,Kurt Angle versus Rey Mysterio versus Randy Orton and finally the main event Triple H versus John Cena were all very good matches with 2 or 3 others good aswell

Almost All Of The Matches Were Insane!!!
Best matches of the night were:
Foley-Edge
HBK-McMahon
MITB II
WHC Match

I dont think any wrestlemania will top this one for a long long time!

Customer rating: 4 out of 5 stars Almost the best PPV of 2006!

OK, so it wasn't quite as good as Unforgiven 06. But it was damn sure the best WM since 17!
Cena v HHH was over hyped; the match was rubbish, but the fan reaction was INSANE!
Triple threat match for WHT was good, but far too short- (oh and Rey Mysterio won it, which sucked)
Foley vs Edge was decent, and had a great ending, but not a spot on Foley's scrap against Orton at Backlash 2004.
Match of the night has to go to Mchmahon vs HBK. Micheals really proved the point that the greatest performer in the world could wrestle a mop, and still make it look damn good!

This edition of WRESTLEMANIA looked just a tiny bit too well rehearsed.
Take the hardcore match between Foley and Edge for instance: Great, sure, but all that barbed wire and flaming dinner tables can't detract from the feeling that both performers had to move very carefully if they didn't want to have their careers cut short by one overdone hardcore effort too many. Gone are the days where Mankind's Hell In A Cell Match vs the Undertaker could both make you cheer for more and question the fighters' mental sanity.
At WRESTLEMANIA XXII they all seem too... well, too professional.
Being professionals they also manage to take you through one hell of a ride: the money in the bank match is unforgettable, Shawn Michaels is his usual "showstopping" self and the triple threat match proves once again to be the most intriguing challenge of all.
On the other hand you get a slightly disappointing casket match with the Undertaker (14-0 at Wrestlemania) and a so-so WWE Championship Match.
The less said about the Boogeyman vs Booker T brawl the better...

April 2nd 2006, Chicago, WRESTLEMANIA 22!! Possibly one of the best Wrestlemania PPVs in its 22 year history full of exciting, action-packed matches on the card!

WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:
BIG SHOW & KANE VS CARLITO AND CHRIS MASTERS
Bit of a slow starter for Wrestlemania but we all knew what the result would be of the match deep down.

MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH:
AMAZING! Such a great match with high risk maneuvers. Exciting from start to finish!

UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP:
CHRIS BENOIT VS JBL
Nothing really stood out for this match.

HARDCORE MATCH:
MICK FOLEY VS EDGE
This match will surely go down as one of the greatest matches to grace Wrestlemania and personally one of the best Hardcore WWE matches i have watched!

BOOGEYMAN VS BOOKER T & SHARMELL:
Worst match of the night! Awful!

WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
TRISH STRATUS VS MICKIE JAMES:
Your average Womans WWE match. Ending could have been much better.

CASKET MATCH:
MARK HENRY VS UNDERTAKER
Wasn't the worst match of tne night but again, I think everyone was expecting the end result! Could have been much better but it didn't really match the hype.

NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH:
SHAWN MICHAELS VS VINCE MCMAHON
Good Match, Pretty entertaining to watch.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
KURT ANGLE VS REY MYSTERIO VS RANDY ORTON
A good match to watch. Given the varied superstar wrestling styles in the match, a wide variety of moves were on offer.

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
HHH VS JOHN CENA
A pretty decent main event. Great entrances and good atmosphere on show. Pretty dramatic.

OVERALL: Despite some of the event being predictable, the PPV was still a great event with some of the twists and turns on offer!

BONUS FEATURE: The DVD offers a great selection of bonus features, such as the hall of fame ceremony and Saturday Nights Main Event to compliment the 4 hour PPV so you definitely get your money's worth! (Overall running time is approx 9 HOURS!)

VERDICT: A must watch! - 9/10!
