Four old women living in a house in miami. That really doesn't sound funny, however it is one of the funniest shows i have ever seen. It has all the right blend of things that make a great comedy. It has a dumb character, a man crazy character, a funny sarcastic character and a great setting. Worth the money as its brilliant
the second series is just as humorous if not better than the first.special guests include a very young and unknown george cloony amoungst others.the series uses what it does best to make the show shine in all its glory.the chemistry between rose,blanche,dorothy and sofia is fantastic.all the midnight chats over cheesecake trying to solve one problem or another.by season two the golden girls had established itselt as one of america's top comedy series.its no wonder why with such great script and witty dialogue played beautifully by bea arthur,estelle getty,betty white and rue mclanahan.this dvd set is a must have which you will come back to again and again
