In his most powerful role ever, Harrison Ford is the President of the United States in this must-see blockbuster action thriller.
Aboard the presidential plane - the most heavily guarded aircraft in the world - President Marshall is returning home with his wife, daughter and a planeload of top governmental officials. But no sooner have they taken off when the plane is hijacked by Communist radicals, led by the ruthless terrorist Korshunov. Unless his country's imprisoned dictator is freed, Korshunov will begin killing the passengers.
Now, the most protected man in the world must take responsibility for the safety of those onboard and the future of the free world...

£2.99!! An absolutely crazy price for a totally enjoyable action thriller. It's overblown, it's dumb, it's a great big Friday night movie with running gunfights on Air Force One, fighters in combat, plane crashes, huge explosions and Harrison Ford saving his wife and Child while running the Free World!!
Add in a stellar supporting cast - Glenn Close as the vice-president (eating up a deliciously untypical role), Dean Stockwell, Gary Oldman (again hamming it up as the bad guys leader), Jurgen Prochnow and you have a surprisingly heavyweight cast having fun amid the CGI shenanigans!
Well worth a look if you're an action fan.
Original take on Die-Hard scenario...

Is George Bush good as the president? No. Would Harrison Ford do a better job? You're damn right he would. I've seen Air Force One and he makes an awesome president. The action is handled pretty well too. It is no Die Hard but then... nothing beats Die Hard. It's going cheap right now and is well worth the £3 price tag.
Great Film!

This film manages to sell the idea of the President of the United States as an action hero in a 'Die Hard on a Plane' scenario. With Harrison Ford up against Gary Oldman, you just know you are in for a treat. A good supporting cast and a suspenseful plot help to make this a great film all round and is totally recommended!
