Face/Off

This has to be one of the most classic 90s action movies ever made!! Awesome story thats a little far fetched but action packed with electric performances from Travolta and Cage, plenty of violence and cool slow mo scenes that you expect from Woo, absolutely classic a must for action fans!!

I absolutely loved this film! its one of my all time favourites.
I don't usually like action films but this one was brilliant.
Both actors played their characters really well, it made me want to watch other films they have both been in. it must of been hard to switch characters with each other during the film. a definite must see movie!!!!!!!!

Slotting right in alongside the mid 1990s dawn of the modern action fest (with the likes of Con Air, Face Off, Broken Arrow etc) comes this gloriously violent and over the top action extravanganza with a slight sci-fi bent.

Having killed his son years earlier Sean Archer (John Travolta) has been hunting arch-criminal Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage) for years and when he finally finds him and brings him to custody he discovers that Troy has planted a bomb to go off in Los Angeles in the future.................the only problem being Troy is now in a coma and unresponsive.

The solution......to undergo experimental face swapping technology and BECOME Castor Troy, infiltrating his organisation and finding out where the bomb is. Which would be fine, until Castor wakes up and decides he'll take Archer's face and become him as well!!

Dizzying balletic action, choreographed by director Woo and great performances from a talented cast make this a delight of a crazy action ride that doesn't let up from opening pursuit to the action spectacle finale!

Great film but this DVD is underwhelming. Extras consist of the theatrical trailer, some thin cast biographies, an action overload featurette (a pointless montage of action scenes from the film) and a trailer for Pearl Harbor. Worst of all, the film is cut (two scenes involving the butterfly knife). There's a R1 collector's edition which has the uncut version plus plenty of extras.

Really clever film with 2 amazing actors as the leads [Cage and Travolta]. They both have entirely different positions in life [Without giving too much away] and end up having their faces swapped over having to take on the other persons life. Absolutly uncredible film and its one of my all time favourites

Trippy concept, expertly executed by Cast and Director.
This movie came out during the Peak of Modern Action Movies in the late 90s with the likes of The Rock, Con Air and Armageddon.
And this is one is just Brilliant. Nicolas Cage is awesome as the Bad Guy and OK as the Good Guy.
Travolta is a revelation as the Bad Guy, enjoying himself to the Max, and is effective as the Good Guy.
This is director John Woo's Best American film (he also directed Broken Arrow, Hard Target, Mission Impossible 2).
This is a terrific Boys movie, Bad Action, Bad Boys, and a Bad Attitude.
A Must Have for every action fan.

Ok so i 've just watched Face Off and its one on my fave films ever this story line is soooo gr8, lots of action this is a MUST BUY FILM worth every penny

face off is awesome.one of my favourite films of all time.john woo does a excellent job with the action scenes which are top notch.john travolta gives his best performance ever.and nicholas cage isnt to far behind him either.we have non stop action.over the top violence.shoot ups what more can you ask for.on the minus side the stunt wire work is very obvious and visible in parts but thats is just an obsevation nothing against the film which is top class

For those who liked "Con Air" like me then this is for you. Nic Cage is great as a good guy in an action film but John Travolta is an even better bad guy and both play both roles in this film. It is an action junkies paradise as Cage who plays the at first villainous Caster Troy is captured by cop Sean Archer (Travolta) but in order to stop Troys grand scheme he must become him and Troy ends up taking the role of his opposite. Its a crazy story but it certainly works and is one of those all time classics that has to be viewed over and over again. Enjoy

Amazing film with a good story,albeit very unrealistic.Great action throughout,with possibly nicholas cage and john travoltas greatest performances.
