Great action/thriller starring as John Travolta as a FBI agent who literaly switches faces with a master criminal (Nicholas Cage) so he can get information from his brother of where he has hid a bomb. Although things turn bad when the criminal awakens from his comma and takes Travolta's face. The criminal practicaly had stolen everything from him, his house, his car, his daughter, and even his wife. This has one of the best endings in movie history! This movie had great stunts, special effects, cast, director, and production design. Even at 138 minutes the time goes by extremely fast.

Cage and Travolta work extremely well together and take the roles of both Sean Archer and Castor Troy into there own and pull of very believable parts. John Woo's visual imagery is flamboyant and decorative, yet never fails to deliver the goods. Top marks for a great action film
I finally watched this movie after hearing all the hype and reviews from friends/family, and was glad to see it to the end. The story is so extravagant and impossible that it naturally befits an action movie. As the title suggests, it's about Cage and Travolta who literally 'switch' faces, one to go undercover and attempt to find a bomb while the other simply steals his life, family and comfort for his own wellbeing. The change in character from good-guy to bad-guy is convincing all in all, and Travolta is back to what he does especially well- playing the bad guy (none of this 'grease' acting here!). Great shoot-ups near the final climax, and a great jailbreak that you're just waiting to happen. Overall, this is action.
An absolute must have!

This film is a true classic! It's definitely one of my top 5 films and I think anybody who likes a bit of action will love this film. Travolta and Cage play their characters superbly and at £3.99 it's an absolute bargain.
Great movie for any collection

Top movie with great action and fighting scenes throughout. The storyline maybe far fetched but the film pulls it off very well.
The film starts by telling the story about a bad guy and a cop and their battle against each other. Once the bad guy Castor Troy (Nicolas Cage) has been caught and in the process put in a comma, the police find out that he has planted a bomb somewhere in the city. Super cop Sean Archer (John Travolta) then goes ahead with surgery to remove Troy's face and implant it on his body to fool Castor Troy's brother into telling him where the bomb is hidden. But while Sean Archer is doing his bit Castor Troy awakens from his comma and steals Archer's face. Sean Archer must then fight Castor Troy not only to keep a bad guy off the streets but to also reclaim his identity.
The film has plenty of action with a great bad boy image from Cage and a top cop role by Travolta. They just don't make films like this anymore, where movies are made solely for the action and fighting, very 90's.
As I said at the beginning this is a must for any dvd collector, it is the pinnacle of 90's action films.
Should be in ever one's DVD collection
