Paul Verhoeven is a master of blood+guts, with a bit of tragedy and lasers thrown in. Verhoeven at his best, in my opinion a modern science fiction masterpiece, a la Total Recall. "They don't make 'em like they used to". Ha!

Great series of bug killing action packed full on fighting against the onslaught of bugs and destruction of the human race. If you want some gripping action. filled with gore and complete sweet ass stuff all the way through i recommend this. 5/5!!!

This film is awesome, it is the best futuristic book adaptation ever, you must own this film and at £3 your ripping play.com off

Strangely addictive but why? You have to see this. Unfortunately the sequels were not so good.

Great sci-fi movie with a fun and original plot. Loads of graphic violence and alien bug killing action. Certainly worth this price for a 2hr film. If your big on action sci-fi and have still not seen this film then it's a must have.

This is my most favourite sci-fi filmm ever. it has nearly everything. Aliens that could realisticly be aliens. (not some that look like just like humans with some weird skin), huge battlefleets, gripping plot, llots of battlescenes and plenty of carnage. Watching this makes you proud to be a human. you cant help screaming at the TV, "go humans, wup them alien butts." I say nearly everything because theres one thing it lacks for a sci-fi. A space battle. but other than that this film is the best. its so awesome. You must buy it....now...WHY ARE YOU STILL READING THIS!

Classic thriller, although yeah it is cheesy and is slightly ridiculous, but you cannot beat this film, just buy it, dont think about it......do it....DO IT NOW!

A mildly fascistic future Earth fights against an army of intelligent space bugs and sends it's youngest, prettiest people to die horrifically.

Totally deserving of it's 18 rating if you're a fan of Verhoeven's other major films (RoboCop, Total Recall, Hollow Man) this will be right up your street. If not, but thrilling action amidst outer space is, you might rather enjoy it.

Really entertaining film about bugs trying to take over planet earth.If you like violent films this is for you.

In my opinion the best sci-fi film of all time even though its 10 years old its great. The special effects are very good for its time and it is also an absolute bloodbath with some real gore. Set in the future bugs/aliens are attacking and wiping out planets then they hit earth and war is waged. The main actor Casper van dien is super he plays the role great he is a college student and decides to join the military as a trooper and Denise Richards plays a good part in the film to as his girlfriend. Let the war begin!!
