This movie was over looked on it's release way back in 2000, but after re-watching it, there is much to enjoy. Directed By Martin (Casino Royale, Golden Eyed, Edge Of Darkness) Campell this movie is a well constructed thrill ride, with some really nail knawing moments. What let's the movie down is the soapy elements, and it seems to take a while for the action to kick in ( apart from the brilliant opening sequence) Also Chris O'Donnell is a very bland lead, and Robin Tunney is little better. Bill Paxton as ever gives good value for money, and liven's up the leads short comings. The reconstruction of the hights of K2 is well done, but you can tell the snow is fake, and filmed in a studio, or blue screened. but this still is a very enjoyable adventure, and if you are a fan of the similar Cliffhanger or the excellent The Edge, this is well worth watching.
