As the series approaches its fifth series (airing Jan 21st 2009 in the US), it is only right to go back and see where the series all started. If you have seen this either on TV or you already own the DVD, then you will know what happens and what to expect in the future, however; if this is your first time to the show then like all of us fans when we first saw the show, it will mean nothing to you and you will come up with lots of wild suggestions as to what is happening to the survivors of flight 815. So the series as a whole. The pilot and the finale are very good episodes and brilliantly written, also the last few episodes finally start giving us some answers. The other episodes are mainly filler introudcing all the characters (the best of which include: John Locke, Sawyer, Sayid and Hurley along with Claire and Rose) before they were on the island. The segments of these other episodes that are set on the island are mainly about survival, and we only start getting parts of the puzzle in the last quarter of the series. That said this isn't a bad series, infact it is like a better version of 'Survivor', its just that it takes quite some time to get into as well as steering things away from the survival story and focusing on the overall show arc, which is SO good it has yet to be revealed. Lost is easily one of the best pieces of TV within this millenium, which is probably why the show has such a fanbase. If you are a fan and you don't own this then i suggest that you should buy it, however; if you are not yet a fan, you should still buy it, become hooked, but like the survivors of 815, prepare to become LOST!

Lost is probably the greatest and most addictive TV series ever made, and if you've only seen a few episodes and you're planning on buying series 1 to try it out....... dont!. Because I guarantee after watching it, you will be hooked and you will then buy series 2, series 3 and then series 4 like I did. Instead I'd recommend buying the series 1-4 bundle as the collective fee for series 1, 2, 3, and 4 comes to £113, while the boxset complete with bonus features is only £87.99! Meaning you pretty much get a series for free.

I think this must be the first and only American tv series since the 80`s i`ve watched and enjoyed. I didn`t watch Lost when they first came out on tv, but i`ve been told how great they are that i thought oh well, might as well give it a try. I was surprised how the many characters had such depth, how good the acting was, the excellent locations, and the bulging extras in this set is fantastic. On my way onto Lost 2 now. Truly addictive.

This boxset has completely rejuvenated my interest in Lost, I will be purchasing series 2, 3 and 4 in the coming weeks from play.com and can't wait to see what happens!

I'd recommend this to anyone who knows good telly when they see it, the plot is so broad that everyone will find something to enjoy.

I was weary - I didn't think I would like Lost at all - BUT OMG! I simply cannot get enough! Am now on series 3 and have pre - ordered S4! Watch it! You will not be disappointed!

Lost is an amazing drama from the US, bound to keep you enthralled from the first episode. There is certain to be at least one character you can relate to on this island, and has you thinking, "What would I do in that situation?" Every episode ends in a cliff-hanger, so it leaves you wanting more, and you can never see what is going to happen next. If you enjoy disaster movies, then the first two-parter episode alone is worth watching, being the most expensive pilot episode of a TV show thus far. As a converted 'Lostie', I can guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Lost is a very good show. It's one where you need to watch every minute of every episode to follow it. The characters are fantastic, great performances all around. Also at £14.99 - it's a must buy!

Well how can I explain Lost??!! Lost is one of those shows you just have to see, it is an outstanding show well worth watching. The script is total genius, the cast are all amazing throughout and the crew who put it all together do an amazing job. The cast are all brilliant actors/actresses who, in my opinion, really make the show what it is, and personally I feel that none of them are a weak link for the show. This is a show with a pretty simple concept to start with, a plane crash on an island with survivors stranded there awaiting rescue, it seems a relatively simple plot but it soon begins to turn into something far more complicated in time, every twist in the plot is so unbelievable, something you would never have thought of, and the survivors soon learn they have a lot more to deal with than they first thought. It is a pretty complicated script full of twists and turns throughout and I would definitely advise that you watch from the very beginning as going in and watching at like series 2 for example you wouldn't really have a clue what was going on if you hadn't watched it before.

To conclude I would definitely recommend lost, I cant really explain the whole show without giving away the all the surprise twists in it, but I can tell you it is very exciting, one of those shows that makes you go 'Wow'! Well worth watching, and the other series well worth watching to follow also. I would definitely recommend Lost 100%!!

This series is absolutely awesome. Although it's based on a plane crash, the island has great in-depth mysteries, and it's fantastic how everything and everyone is connected, great suspense!

the island is full of wonder and mystery, the charcters are interesting and likeable, the suspense and plots are mystical, and the music going with the drama is moving.......fantastic television
