The very first of James Bond's 20 (and counting) adventures, featuring a young Sean Connery stepping into the role of Britain's super-suave secret agent.
Bond's mission takes him to the steamy island of Jamaica, where mysterious energy waves are interfering with U.S. missile launches. As he unravels the astonishing truth, Bond must fight deadly assassins, sexy femme's fatales and even a poisonous tarantula. With the help of crack CIA agents Felix Lieter (Jack Lord) and the beautiful Honey Ryder (Ursula Andress), he searches for the headquarters of Dr. No, who is implementing an evil plan of world domination.
Only Bond, with his combination of wit, charm and skill, can confront the madman and save the human race from a horrible fate. With breathtaking chases, amazing stunts and a bold, nerve-shattering climax, this outrageously entertaining adventure pushes the envelope for non-stop thrills and magnificently sets the standard for the most popular movie series in film history.

Every Bond movie is a product of it's time. So to compare the film with today's action extravaganza'a would be wrong. To get the best out of watching the early Bond movies, it's best to watch them with rose tinted vision, as if you were watching it for the first time in the early 60's
In the film that launched the James Bond saga, Agent 007 ( Sean Connery) battles the mysterious Dr. No. Connery is perfect as Bond, He is mean and moody, as what Bond should be. We also get the iconic shot of Ursula Andress coming out of the sea. For a film of it's age still to grip a audience, is proof of the quality of the movie. This is a Proto-type Bond and not the best in the series, but the creases do get ironed out in the Next installment.
A must buy for all Bond fans, This is vintage excellence !
But I'm not too sure of the early opening title sequence though.
if only all bond films were as good as this

i have every bond film (including casino royale) and this is the best 1 of the lot , the criminals are the worst (they shoot unarmed woman in the back) so who better to take them on than an equally cold hearted killer named james bond (007) a must see film
