This was to be Pierce Brosnan's final outing as 007, and what a great Bond he was too!
James Bond's newest mission begins with a spectacular high-speed hovercraft chase through a minefield in the demilitarized zone separating North and South Korea - and the action doesn't let up until the credits roll. From Hong Kong to Cuba to London, Bond circles the world in his quest to unmask a traitor and prevent a war of catastrophic proportions. On his way he crosses paths with Jinx (Oscar ®-winner Halle Berry) and Miranda Frost (Rosamund Pike), who will play vital roles in his latest adventure. Hot on the trail of deadly megalomaniac Gustav Graves (Toby Stephens) and his ruthless right-hand man Zao (Rick Yune), Bond travels to Iceland into the villain's lair: a palace built entirely of ice. There he experiences firsthand the power of a new hi-tech weapon. Ultimately it all leads to an explosive confrontation - and an unforgettable conclusion - back in Korea where it all started.

Could've been a bit more of that james bond oomph that you get in Goldfinger. Three stars goes too Jinx or Halle Berry
Die Another Day (2002) - ***
Pierce Brosnan's final outing as 007 features a hotter than ever Halle Berry, great villain performance from Toby Stephens and several inspired action sequences. So what's wrong? The fact is it that Die Another Day simply isn't a Bond film. It's far too high-tech (invisible cars?) and lacks the charm, and frankly, Britishness of many of the other installments. Still worth watching but to ensure maximum satisfaction keep expectations reasonably low.

I cannot see why people had such a problem with this bond film. I thought it was brosnan`s best. Loved the action packed scenes and the ice palace, it wasn`t really in iceland you know, but actually based on the ice hotel in sweden. Halle berry is superb as jinx, and i thought it was a great touch for the 20th anniversary, the bikini scene coming out the sea as ursula andress did in the first bond film. This dvd is jammed packed with brilliant extras too.
