Bill and Ted are two cool dudes, but to their teacher they are high school no-hopers. They fantasise about forming a band called 'Wyld Stallyns' - one day they'll put themselves together and learn to play guitar. But unless Ted achieves the seemingly impossible and passes a history presentation, he will be shipped off to military school. End of friendship.
A figure from the future appears in the nick of time, providing a time-travelling phone booth. The two jump in and out of different eras, collecting historical figures (from Socrates to Billy the Kid) and confronting them with West Coast culture!

Whilst I wouldn't go anywhere near to saying that this was the best film ever, or even the best ever comedy, it is a pretty good and highly amusing film with Keanu Reeves in one of his first starring roles.
This is what a comedic film about time travel should be, so take note makers of "Time Bandits" (sorry George but it's just not in the same league as Bill & Ted - no wonder Hand Made Films got into financial trouble making that second-rate rubbish).
There isn't a minute of filler here or a second where you get bored. It's just a riot from start to finish.
For the extra quid track down the double-disc package with the follow-up "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey". Twoly awesome dude!
