This is an alright film and would have been excellent if I had seen it when it came out but 10 years later you kinda pick holes in the film in terms of could that really happen.
I feel it gets away with it in the beginning but slowly becomes more unbelievable nearer the end.
This film cant touch HEAT but worth watching.

A great thriller with a strong cast (Robert Carlyle, Ray Winstone and Phil Davis) with a strong undercurrent of socialism that doesn't overwhelm the action (some terrific scenes especially the robbery and a street gun battle that turns into a mini-Heat). Great acting, great direction from Antonia Bird, great soundtrack and more to think about than the average crime film. If only someone would issue the Bird/Carlyle TV series Looking After JoJo on DVD
