     best film ever

This is a wonderful film which is realistic in its approach to the various results of drug dependency. Jared Leto is well underestimated as an actor and deserves great credit for this as do most of the films ive seen him in.

I can honestly say this is one of the greatest films I have ever seen. I have never watched a film that has made an impact like requiem for a dream did. I was moved by the extreme depths that people will go to get drugs, for a few days after I watched the film I couldn't get it out of my head it had that much of an impact. the visual effects in this film are brilliant and you feel genuine emotion for the main characters involved. Not just great film, but a great soundtrack. extremely hard hitting but absolutely brilliant.

     Breathtaking

As much as I hate watching this film, it drags me back to watch it over and over again.

I hate it because it's so depressing and surreal, and has such an awful emotional effect on you after watching it. Through the dingy atmospheric setting, It actually manages to drag the viewer down to the level of the junkie characters - confused and not understanding what's going on. The trippy sequences were so vivid they actually made me feel slightly ill just watching them.

I keep coming back to this film because of the way it expresses its point like no other film I've seen before. I have never been so emotionally effected by a film before, neither deterred and repulsed from a certain lifestyle before seeing this.

Everyone must watch this film at least once.

Artistic level, storywise, film making, acting... pretty much every aspect of this film is 5 stars. I've had the dvd since it came out but it's one of those films you love, love, love, but still find it really hard to watch all over again.

     MOST DEPRESSING FILM EVER !

This is by far the most depressing film i have ever seen. It's worth watching at least once i suppose but ignore all the reviews that say it's the best film ever because it really is not.

The downside to the American dream

This is one of my favourite films. It's a very realist and emotional film. It showed how people in America would do to succeed to the American dream (drugs, make money, perfect body etc).
This is one film that everyone in their lives should watch.
This is one film that touched my heart in several ways.
    Brilliant acting throughout the film.
    You won't be disappointed.

This film, is easily my favourite film of all time. It is touching, disturbing, beautiful in some places and just downright fantastic throughout. I highly rate all of the performances in this film, especially Jared Leto and Ellen Burstyn. A must watch, absolutely brilliant

This film takes you on journey through drug addiction and relatable characters trying to strive for a better life. The acting is fantastic, Jared Leto and Ellen Burstyn especially. From the beginning it's sad to watch but well worth seeing and not a film you'll soon forget.

Im a huge Jared Leto fan so i ordered this after reading that it was the 'Most depressing movie of all time'. I watched it the night it arrived and i have only watched it twice since. Extremely disturbing, great acting and a well thought out story. Makes you think alot after watching it though, do not expect this film to make you feel good.
