In this film, Day-Lewis plays 'Hawkeye' - a hard-as-nails hunter with expert marksmanship skills. I'm not sure if this film is historically accurate but who cares. The film is intense, well directed and the last twenty minutes contain some of the finest editing ever committed to cinema. If you're a fan of either The Missing, Dances With Wolves or even The Gladiator then you will love this film.

I could leave it there. Agree with the other review. I bought the soundtrack. Mainly for the Clannad song as they run up the mountain. 'No matter where you go I'll always be there...like a place with no frontier....'. If you've ever loved and watch that scene and under the waterfall where DD Lewis says 'I will find you..stay alive' Hairs on the neck time. The Irish jig at the fort as well. Incredible.

NACHANS.............if you dont cry at the end you havent watched it properly. Gets me every time as the chief says goodbye to his boy............

me and my brother used to watch this film every time we went to our grandads house at the age of 6 and every time we saw it, it was as good as the last time, it never got old at all. We watched this film in an English lesson at school as well, and most of the class hadn't seen it before and were making fun of it at the start, but by the end of the lesson everyone wanted to skip their next lesson to finish watching it. I think at £2.99 this is one of , if not the best deal on the website.

This is by far the greatest film I have ever and will ever see, it has everythin, a great plot, action, adventure, romance, drama... just everythin, o, and the sound track is amazin. The final scenes as they run up the mountain side is spectacular!!!

The film is just amazing. Beatifully made with fantastic scenes at the end. Good story too.
Also the music is marvellous. I had to run out and buy the soundtrack.

This is a true classic in every sense of the word. Outstanding acting, brilliant cinematography and an amazing score that will make you want to go out and buy the sound track like I did!
For some reason, this film has been underated since it first came out, but I have yet to come across anyone who thought this was anything other than a brilliant and thrilling film. The story is very well set out, the pace moves effortlessly from fast battle scenes to moments of slower tranquility and the cinematography is nothing short of a master piece.
I cannot rate this film highly enough and would urge anything thinking of buying this to place your order straight away, as you will not be dissapointed. For £5.99 this is an absolute steal!

A film everbody should see at least once. with a great cast including Daniel Day-Lewis as the adopted son of the mohican clan leading a group of survivors to saftey through the american colonies, while there is a war raging between england and france, being Hunted by a rival clan who's intentions is to kill the two daughters of the english cournal Munro. An exciting film from start to finish that will make you want to watch it again and again.
