Top 10 DVD Reviewer

Alan Partridge is a work of Genius by Steve Coogan. He combines the worst elements of Richard Whitely and Richard Madely and all the crass DJ elements of local radio ( Ridings FM take note!) but comes out with the most side splitting comedy and most enduring characters in decades. Every one of the six episodes is a classic, but the pick of the bunch has to be the one with the avid fan.
This is comedy perfection that stands up to constant viewing.

The funniest British comedy series ever no question.

If you can't laugh at this then there has to be something wrong with you, although I think the second series is slightly better (buy them both you will not regret it believe me). COMEDY GOLD!

I have not yet met a person who does not find Alan Partridge funny. Not only does the series throw up some genius quotations, the character that is Alan Partridge has to be on a par with David Brent as one of the greatest comedy creations ever. The individual episodes are original, and this ground-breaking comedy is something which everybody deserves to enjoy. Trust me, after the first five minutes of watching you'll wonder how you ever survived without it.

Partridge is the funniest comedy every created. I've watched both series well over 20 times and I still crack up just thinking about it. This is a no-brainer, buy it.

Over ten years later, the comedy still holds up perfectly.

Plus this is the only comedy DVD I own where the deleted scenes are easily as funny as what was left in.

I am a huge comedy fan and all round funny person, and this (and all the other Alans) are quite simply the greatest British comedy since the Young Ones and Bottom in my humble opinion. If you dont find this hilarious there really is something wrong with you. However if you do, youll find youself quoting every single bit in different situations of your life (this is fun if your friends all love Alan too..a little less fun if your a bit of a loner)

either way, this is essential viewing.

"lovely stuff!"

Alan Partridge is probably the funniest man on the TV. Steve Coogan plays the failed chat show host brilliantly. His run ins with farmers, traffic cones, fans, grieving widows, the hotel staff and even his own PA had me in utter stitches and left me quoting the best bits long after the credits had stopped rolling. If you haven´t seen Partridge you´re missing out! A ha!

I have to say i hadnt really watched anything of Alan Partridge before i bought this dvd. And its now one of my favourite dvd's. Each episode seems to get funnier as you watch it. Steve Coogan plays Partridge brilliantly in portraying him as a confident man with a dream that just isnt happening. But it makes for funny viewing :D. The DVD main menu is funny enough even if you dont watch the episodes. Highly recommended and a must buy for anyone with a sense of humour :P
